                                                                                    The Blue Building, Netherlands
blue building

blue_building         This building is located in the borough of Delfshaven, Rotterdam. It was once derelict building and one of the most unseen blocks of houses in Rotterdam.

But by applying a layer of only 2 micron of blue paint, the block will remain blue as long as there isn’t a new plan for the area. And it became Rotterdam’s most photographed one.

The most Crazy Buildings of the world!!! [[1]]

Whether you want to see the world’s most unusual exhibits, learn about the world’s most intriguing people, or see them all face to face, Branson’s famous Ripley’s Believe It or Not  is the place for you! The building itself is one of the most photographed buildings in the world. Why? Because it is cracked. It was built this way to represent the strongest earthquake in the United States, which occurred in 1812 here in Missouri. Inside, you will find displays of the weird and unusual findings of Robert Ripley, who scoured the world for strange places, people and events. This is the one place in the world that you have to see to believe and sometimes still you don’t believe it. Go and see for yourself and dare to be a “believer”.

An intriguing example of such a house is the almost finished Steel House by the artist Robert Bruno. The house build near the city of Lubbock in Texas. It sits on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the lake. Bruno spent 23 years building this strange home that looks like a giant pig out of 110 tons of steel! Like the exterior, nearly all of the interior will be exposed steel. Bruno will use leaded glass for windows and clear glass for views of the lake below. A glass elevator with a glass ceiling will soon run up the middle of the house, treating its occupants to a 45-foot upward view. Plans include two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, multiple bathrooms and numerous closets.

This monument is, in fact, the world’s largest basket, and it’s also the seven-story corporate headquarters of the Longaberger Basket Company. The basket is a replica – 160 times larger – of Longaberger’s Medium Market Basket.
It’s 192 ft. long by 126 ft. wide at the bottom, spreading to 208-ft. long by 142-ft. wide at the roofline. It is a magnificent sight – especially at night.

Andrej Pejic, the same story!

Andrej Pejić (pronounced Andréi Page) (born August 28, 1991 in Tuzla, SR Bosnia-Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is an Australian androgynous male model.

Pejic was born in Tuzla. He has one older brother Igor. Their mother, Jadranka Savić, is Serbian and their father, Vlada Pejić, Croatian. The parents divorced shortly after Andrej's birth. During the Bosnian War, he fled to Serbia with his mother, brother and grandmother, settling in a refugee camp near Belgrade. When asked if he found his childhood difficult, Pejic said:
No, I was happy. The camp was a community. We went to school and I had lots of friends – mainly girls. Everybody played outside. My memories are very carefree.
After refugee camp, the family settled in Vojska village near Svilajnac. Andrej met his father for the first time when he was four years old. His mother wanted him to have a relationship with his dad so he and brother Igor would spend a month every summer with their dad.
After the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia, Pejic's mother felt unsafe and decided to initiate immigration process for Australia. In 2000 the family moved to Melbourne, Australia as political refugees when Pejic was eight years old.

It has been reported that he was scouted just before his 17th birthday whilst working at McDonald's, but he has also stated he was scouted at a swimming pool whilst still in high school in Melbourne, Australia. He is notable for his extreme androgyny and his ability to successfully model both male and female clothing.

In the Paris fashion shows of January 2011 he walked both the men's and women's shows for Jean-Paul Gaultier and the men's shows for Marc Jacobs. In May 2011, Pejic's magazine cover for the New York-based magazine Dossier Journal - in which he is pictured taking off his shirt with his long blond locks in curlers - was ruled too risqué by US bookstores Barnes & Noble and Borders, which covered the image with an opaque sleeve. Concerns were expressed that customers would mistake him for a topless woman.
As of September 2011, he ranks no. 18 on the models.com Top 50 Male Models list, and he was ranked no. 98 in FHM magazine's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2011, an 'award' that caused controversy with a transphobic subtext that was removed from FHM's website.

Lea T - between two sexes

Lea T (born Leandro Cerezo in 1981), is a Brazilian fashion model. Lea T is the daughter of well-known former Brazilian football player Toninho Cerezo. Lea was assigned "male" at birth, but now identifies as female. On January 4, 2011 interview, Lea T stated intentions to undergo sex reassignment surgery in March 2011.

Lea T was first discovered by Givenchy senior designer Riccardo Tisci and became the face of Givenchy in late 2010. Her first runway show was for Alexandre Herchcovitch during São Paulo Fashion Week in January 2011.
She has been featured in editorials in Vogue Paris, Hercules Magazine, Interview Magazine, Cover Magazine and Love Magazine. In 2011, she was also the cover star of two editions of the Spring/Summer 2011 edition of Love Magazine, one as the solo model and another featuring her kissing Kate Moss.
She is ranked 42nd on the Top 50 Models Women List by models.com.

While Lea T has stated an attraction to both sexes in her adolescence, she did not experiment with her sexuality until her twenties.

Speaking to Oprah in February, Lea broke down as she talked about the challenges she faced when she began the gender reassignment process in 2008.
She told Oprah: 'I was hoping I was gay. I was like, ok, I'm gay, because for my family it's less painful.
'I wish I could accept my body as a man. I would be a straight guy, having a girlfriend and a family, daughters, married, a normal life, but it's something in your brain.'
But she needn't have any regrets as her mannish look is proving popular in the industry.
Colleague Andrej Pejic has been equally as successful as a womenswear model - despite being a man.
Andrej told Vogue.co.uk: 'There are similarities between myself and Lea T, and we're placed in the same category, but our look is very different.
'Lea has been extremely brave in being very honest about her journey - but I don't really see myself as being here to challenge transgender stereotypes.'

Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal Wonders of the World    Built between 1632 and 1653, the Taj Mahal is a mausoleum ordered by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to commemorate his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their 14th child. Considering this and the reports depicting the emperor’s grief, the Taj Mahal is often seen as a beautiful symbol of love. After his death, Shah Jahan was buried here also, next to his wife and the Taj was neglected, the whole complex being damaged, especially after the British raids during the Indian rebellion of 1857. However, at the start of the 20th century, British viceroy Lord Curzon supervised major restoration process which brought back the Taj Mahal glamor.

Taj Mahal Wonders of the World

Today, the complex is stunning, featuring the beautiful mausoleum made of white marble, reflecting pools, other buildings, magnificent ornamental gardens and attracting between 2 and 4 million visitors every year. Unfortunately, problems showed up in recent years, due to pollution, acid rain making the Taj Mahal turn yellow, the Indian authorities taking strict measures trying to stop this.

How to get to Taj Mahal: The mausoleum is located in the city of Agra, which is very easy accessible by plane or by train from Delhi, Mumbai or Chennai.
Pretty amazing list, right? And besides these seven extraordinary landmarks, The Great Pyramid of Giza, the only surviving wonder of the original Seven Wonders of the World was granted an honorary site.

Petra

Petra Wonders of the World    Jordan’s most visited site, Petra (Greek for “rock”) is an ancient settlement in the Ma’an Governorate famous for being carved directly into rock. Apparently, a sanctuary existed in the area long before the 16th century BC, but the actual city was founded around the 6th century BC and became the capital of the Nabataeansa, ancient people from that part of Asia. Benefiting from an advanced water management system, the city quickly flourished and became one of the most important trade centers in the area. In 106 AD, Petra became the capital of the Roman Empire province Arabia Petraea. It was then when the city started to decline, mostly because Romans reorganized trade routes and Petra lost its importance, the final kick being the 363 AD earthquake that destroyed a lot of buildings and seriously damaged the water conduits system.

Petra Wonders of the World

Petra came back into popular culture after Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt visited the ruins in 1812. But it was only a century later that proper archaeological work started on the site, in 1929, with local tourism exploding after the site was featured in the Steven Spielberg’s 1989 movie “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”, after in 1985 it was declared a World Heritage Site. Today, according to reports, more than 400,000 tourists visit Petra every year.

How to get to Petra: For about $35 you can take the bus from Amman, Aqaba or Eilat or you can choose the taxi, which costs around $70 (round trip) if you take it from Amma.

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu Wonders of the World     Also called “The Lost City of the Incas”, Machu Picchu is a historical site located on a mountain above the Urubamba Valley in Peru. Built at an altitude of 7,970 ft (2,430 meters) is considered one of the most significant cultural site because it was never discovered by Spanish conquistadors, so it remained almost intact.

Machu Picchu Wonders of the World

According to archaeologists, the settlement was built around 1450, during the reign of Inca emperor Pachacuti and even though there are theories claiming it was built as a prison or as an agricultural testing station, most probably it was designed to be a religious site. Founded at the height of the Inca Empire, Machu Pichu was abandoned in 1572, during the Spanish Conquest, the cause being unknown, most probably from diseases introduced by foreign travelers before the conquistadors arrival. The city was discovered in 1911 by Hiram     Bingham who was searching for another Inca settlement, Vilcabamba and was led to Machu Pichu by a local boy. In 1981 Peru declared the area a “Historical Sanctuary” and in 1983 the site was included on the World Heritage Site list by UNESCO.

How to get to Machu Picchu: The closest largest city is Cuzco (a World Heritage Site also) and from there you can take one-day trips to Machu Picchu. You’ll have to make a stop in Aguas Calientes from where you can take the bus (round trip for $16) or go on a multiple-day hiking trip on the famous Inca Trail which ends in Machu Picchu
